The Duncan Meadows Golf & Country Club is situated on Highway 18 in the beautiful Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. Opened in 1993, this Championship 18 hole Par 72 facility will be enjoyable for golfers of all levels. Morningstar is host to the "Canadian Tour" . This championship length course possesses a unique blend of link-style holes-- open fairways with beautiful rolling mounds, fairway and green-side bunkers and enough water to demand careful club selection from high and low handicappers alike. Morningstar´s distinct links-style target landing areas emphasize the importance of accuracy, though length is also needed to reach several green in the regulation number of shots. With expansive bunkers, hazardous lakes, challenging fairway mounding, and huge rolling greens, this course will keep golfers mentally alert (or else they will pay in strokes). Golfers at Morningstar will also find it particularly challenging to play in the face of the prevailing westerlies that sweep across the Island. One of the best courses on Vancouver Island. It is located 11km south of Campbell River at the end of McGimpsey Road. Wildlife abound: deer, elk, bear, eagles plus spawning salmon in the creek. Thoroughly enjoyable golf experience. Bring your ´A´ game. Solitude. Fabulous nature park. What a treat! Storey Creek Golf Course is widely publicized as "a course in nature". Carved out of dense, mixed forest, Storey Creek is truly a natural setting. The course is easily accessed by the main Vancouver Island highway, but once you´re there you feel as if you´re miles away. The silence of the course is evident as you listen for the telltale crack of the driver and the satisfying plunk into the cup as you sink that long putt. Gently flowing creeks wind their way through the golf course, providing watering holes for the abundant wildlife and serene setting surrounding the lush fairways and greens.
