The large rolling waves of the Pacific Ocean in the Ucluelet- Long Beach area provide British Columbia’s best sea kayaking and surfing. Miles of beaches within Pacific Rim Park provide hours of tranquility and beach-combing for treasures washed up on shore.

More than half of the island’s population of some 650,000 lives in the Victoria area, with a majority of the other residents spread between the B.C. capital and Campbell River, at mid-island about 260 kilometres to the north. A wide variety of golf courses and no less than 22 championship 18 hole courses can be found in the mildest climate in Canada allowing for year round play.
Parksville is a centrally located resort town on Vancouver Island and is an excellent base for golfing the island’s best courses. Located just 2 hours drive north of Victoria, superb scenery beckons from every viewpoint with ocean vistas and snow-capped mountains.
